RECENT EVENTS:

Morecambe Spring Rally – all who went to this Rally enjoyed the teaching and the fellowship. They will always remember that it was the final event attended by Mr David Walton with his wife, Ann. He was taken ill on the Sunday evening and he was called home that same night.

The Glastonbury Experience – Martin Lightfoot led the group, 18 in total, around the Abbey Exhibition then into the grounds. After lunch there was a visit to St John’s church to see the Joseph of Arimathea window and then on to Pilton church. The day closed with a buffet and plenty of time for fellowship.

Carlisle Rally – well-attended and much enjoyed by all as usual.

Our Royal and Cultural Heritage – at Edinburgh Castle Michael Clark led the group to see the Stone of Destiny and the Honours of Scotland. They also enjoyed the 21 gun salute for the Queen’s Official Birthday which was at noon that day. This was followed by a visit to the National Museum of Scotland to examine the significant impact of the Christian faith in these isles. Martin Lightfoot read out quotations from the Declaration of Arbroath and showed some very interesting archaeological artefacts. A brief visit to the Covenanters’ Memorial preceded refreshments at a local hotel.
