Welcome!
More news for you to read about events, projects and activities in the Federation. SUMMER CONVENTION 2015
There is still time for last minute reservations for the Summer Convention (13-18 July) which is at the Palace Hotel in Buxton where it was held for the first time last year. The theme is ‘The Continuing Kingdom, the Birthright & Magna Carta.’ A warm welcome is extended to our visiting speakers from overseas – a return visit by Pastor Charles Jennings from the USA and a first speaking visit by Pastor Chris Chetland from Australia. Come and enjoy the worship, teaching and fellowship with members and friends in the comfortable surroundings of the hotel in this beautiful spa town. ‘MAGNA CARTA 800’ RALLY
Two weeks after the visit to the Magna Carta exhibition in the British Library which was organised by Martin Lightfoot this rally was held at Headquarters on 6th June. It was very interesting for those who went to both events to have the history put into a greater context by the opening speakers. Michael Clark led on the constitutional consequences of this great charter and the links with the USA and he was followed by a presentation from Martin Lightfoot on the detailed events leading up to it with both of them bringing in the scriptures. After the buffet lunch, David Aimer conducted a moving and enjoyable session of reminiscences of VE Day and the end of the Second World War. Frank Tebbutt took the Thanksgiving Service and the day was completed with a quiz devised and delivered by Kathleen Gage. Rev Barrie Williams was unable to attend due to ill health and he was greatly missed by all who attended this enjoyable event. THE NATIONAL BIBLE COLLEGE Our Christian Heritage – in St Malo and Dol in Brittany, France Reminder: Contact Martin Lightfoot for details of the two day guided tour illustrating the story of the early Celtic missionaries who took the Gospel to Brittany – Thursday, 3rd & Friday 4th September, 2015. ULSTER RALLY
The Ulster Rally was held on the 9th May 2015 with 48 people present. The two speakers Pastor Ken Davidson and Dr Clifford Smyth were enjoyed by all and complemented each other in National and Spiritual matters. The two titles were “When Simeon and Anna met Jesus” and “Dunkirk.” The book sales went very well and the fellowship was active. BIWF-USA
Unfortunately it became necessary to close the office and website of BIWF-USA and CPC of North America at the end of April. The Board of Management were very grateful for the efforts of Mrs Teresa Bains and Mrs Jenny McElroy in trying to keep the office open but it became no longer possible to do this. The stock of books was bought by Mr Dann Crosby of Way in the Wilderness Ministries in Indiana whose address can be obtained from Headquarters. He will continue to promote the Israel message there on our behalf. 96TH ANNUAL CONGRESS Returning again to Gilsland Spa in Cumbria which has been a very popular venue on the previous occasions, the 96th Annual Congress will be held on the weekend of Friday, 2nd to Monday, 5th October. Details of the programme will be available from Headquarters in due course. The theme is ‘Days of National Deliverance.’ WEBSITE UPDATE There was a significant increase in visitor numbers to the BIWF website from 2013 to 2014 and current figures indicate that this trend is continuing. The analysis of where these visitors live showed a very surprising fact – in June 2014 the two countries from which the most visits came were Algeria and Morocco! These figures change every month and the duration of each visit is very short in the majority of cases but it is still interesting to speculate as to what happens as a result of this activity. It is indeed certain that the whole world is aware of our message. Sales are continuing well with the three books which are available on Kindle: The Drama of the Lost Disciples, Did Our Lord visit Britain? and We have a Guardian. FAMILY NEWS
